Joe Biden vows to be more mindful of people's space

Ally Coll said she was a young Democratic staffer helping run a reception of about 50 people when Biden entered the room.

One day after Joe Biden posted a video acknowledging that his past behavior had made women uncomfortable, President Donald Trump tweeted out a parody video Thursday in which a second Biden approaches the former vice president from behind, puts his hands on his shoulders and appears to sniff his hair.

But he acknowledged he's out of step. "And he probably would've said, 'I'm sorry, I was trying to be nice.' And it probably could've been finished right there".

"The boundaries of protecting personal space have been reset, and I get it", Biden said. The president's son retweeted a doctored video that shows Biden massaging his own shoulders as he spoke.

The video was a reference to the allegations that several women have made about Biden unsolicitedly touching them.

The video was Biden's first direct comment on what has tripped up his preparations to enter the 2020 Democratic presidential campaign. He also promised that he would be more mindful going forward, as though that wasn't an obvious given.

On Tuesday, while speaking at the National Republican Congressional Committee dinner, President Trump taunted Biden when telling a story about his interaction with a military general who told him ISIS was defeated in all but Syria.

President Donald Trump, who has been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct (which he denies), was asked Wednesday whether Biden should apologize for the ways he has interacted with women. "I get it, I get it". I've always thought it about connecting with people.

Yet Barack Obama has yet to address the accusations hounding his close friend and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Like other women who have come forward, she said she does not think he meant to misbehave. "I understand that, and I've heard what these women are saying", he emphasized.

"In this climate, I feel like a lot of men have nowhere to go when something like this happens and what seems unfair about this is again this is not-we're not talking about sex". You having a good time, Joe?' " Trump said.
