The wireless headphones have been a hit for Apple, despite being ridiculed in some circles early on for how amusing they looked dangling from people's ears and the perceived potential for them to drop out and get lost.

One rumor that did prove to be accurate however was wireless charging and Bluetooth 5.0 - but instead of being an improved thanks to an updated W2 chip, Apple has designed a brand new H1 chip, which is made for headphones specifically. When switching between devices while listening to music on an iPhone, Apple Watch, or iPad, connect times are two times faster, and when making phone calls, your AirPods connect 1.5 times faster.

Moreover, if you already have the original AirPods then you can buy the Wireless Charging case at $75.

For the first time, the new AirPods also comes with a wireless charging case that can be charged wirelessly with any wireless charger. Do note that the first generation AirPods are removed from Apple's website, but you can still get it from other e-commerce websites like Amazon and Flipkart.

AirPods feature Siri control through their voice commands.

Apple said the updated AirPods get a new Apple-designed H1 chip that delivers performance efficiencies, faster connect times, more talk time and hands-free "Hey Siri". For an extra $40, people can also purchase a wireless charging case for the product.

Other than this, a similar image was removed from the AirPods page yesterday which featured the older iPhone X. While the device will be launched eventually, it has rested in the development since Apple announced the iPhone X. In addition to this, there have been several reports of the accessory going into production.

But Apple has not revealed more information about its previously announced AirPower wireless charging mat. The original AirPods offered five hours of use, with a total 24 hours of battery life when taking into consideration their charging case, for comparison. It also has a small LED light on the front to indicate battery life.

Even though AirPods do not offer noise canceling or sound isolating features, so you can still hear the environment around you.

'Apple is trying to scam us like, ' one frustrated customer wrote on Twitter after hearing about the new product launch.
