No One Is More Elated About Meghan Markle Than This Kid

Meghan was joined by Prince Harry on this occasion.

Meghan The Duchess of Sussex pats Jack Russel dog called "Minnie" during her visit to Mayhew animal welfare charity on Wednesday Jan. 16, 2019, to meet with volunteers to hear about welfare initiatives, community engagement and worldwide projects carried out by the charity.

"I'll take it", Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, said Wednesday with a laugh after a woman, pointing to Meghan's bump, called her a "fat lady".

Mayhew is the second charity visited by Meghan since it was announced last week that she has taken on four patronages.

The dress also didn't stop Markle from petting the dogs in the animal shelter while she visited. That being said, when someone called her a 'fat lady, ' the Duchess had the ideal response and definitely did not get offended.

Meghan visited the headquarters of Mayhew which works to keep cats and dogs, whether family pets or companions for the homeless, safe and well, and support local communities.

During the visit Meghan was introduced to Maggie, a one-year-old Jack Russell who had gone up for "adoption" on the charity's website.

Holding Maggie, who was brought to the Mayhew in November after her owner was unable to care for her, the Duchess said: "We can't get another dog before the baby, our hands are full".

Meghan rescued her dog Guy from a shelter in 2015 and she and Harry are believed to have adopted a second pup a year ago.

One picture showed the Duchess snuggling up next to her two dogs, Guy and Bogart, who appeared to be sleeping cosily next to Meghan.

She now owns two rescue dogs - a beagle named Guy and a Labrador-Shepherd mix named Bogart, who remains in Toronto, Canada with her friends.
