EPL: Emery reveals Arsenal’s game plan against Bournemouth

Arsenal's ambition during Unai Emery's first season as boss sees them chasing down "top four with some trophies", says Rob Holding.

"That's a good example for us - maybe we cannot do the same, because it's very, very hard and they worked very well with [Jurgen] Klopp to get to this, but the difference between us and other teams now - Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea - we can reach the same level as them".

That means a win against Bournemouth is badly needed in order to not lose touch with the Champions League places, with the club desperate to get back into the lucrative competitions after two seasons in the Europa League. First, our idea is to start with the Under-23s, but also, these two weeks training with us, I am looking at him.

Arsenal, who have conceded more than one goal in the same game just once in their last 12 outings, will return to domestic action on Sunday with a trip to Bournemouth.

While Ozil has been handed ten Premier League starts this season, the midfielder has regularly been substituted in the second half of matches, most memorably in a 2-2 draw away at Crystal Palace where he reacted angrily to Emery's decision.

Callum Wilson has scored in all three of his Premier League appearances against Arsenal, and Eddie Howe will be hoping he makes it four from four.

"With Arsene, they became an attacking team, with players who were good on the ball".

"But we are improving things, I think the performances at the moment are not bad in the last matches".

"We can speak about statistics for a long time".

Emery said: "I respect Wenger a lot, but no matter how much information he gave me, I had to change things". That said, which XI should Emery be going with?

"We want to create that kind of atmosphere so it's about both how we finish in the table and also in terms of creating a team both individually and collectively that has motivation. We need more. We need to get better".
