Donald Trump Dissed Lebron James And People Are Not Happy

After Trump made a late-night tweet insulting the intelligence of LeBron James following an interview with CNN's Don Lemon, the network struck back at what is reportedly a sore point for the president - his wife's apparent affinity for the network he hates. Air Jordan relayed his statement to NBC news in response to receiving unwanted attention from the President at the tail end of his Tweet: "He made Lebron look smart, which isn't easy to do". Joe Walsh, a talk show host and former Republican Congressman, said Trump's comment revealed "what a small man he is". "Sports has never been something that divides people", James said.

To be fair, James has also not been so kind to Trump on Twitter in the past, though he probably won't be changing his mind in the near future.

The president implied that he preferred basketball star Michael Jordan, perhaps a reference to the debate over whether Jordan or James were the better player. Not one word or follow-up that takes issue with anything either man has actually said.

Trump's tweet came after James said he thought Trump was trying to divide people using sports.

"Who's the real dummy?"

James has been outspoken in his dislike for Trump in the past.

The most famous basketball player in the world-and also, the most talented-ripped Trump last season after he rescinded a White House invitation to the NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

He later said Trump's rhetoric was harmful in the wake of violence in Charlottesville a year ago, where white supremacists and counterprotesters clashed and one woman was killed.

And of course, no cycle of Trump shade is complete without Pete Souza, the former White House photographer for President Barack Obama, weighing in with a deep cut from his archives.

James and Lemon have yet to respond to Trump's tweet.
